SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Sacramento’s commercial real estate community raised $39,050 for the Carson Campbell Foundation through the 2026 Commercial Broker Softball League, marking the largest fundraising result in the event’s history.

The total includes contributions from participating teams, weekly sponsors and other supporters, along with a dollar-for-dollar matching contribution from Socotra Capital.

The 2026 league brought together eight teams and approximately 90 players from Sacramento’s commercial real estate, construction, banking and related industries. After six weeks of competition, the season culminated in a lively, family-friendly Championship Night, where all eight teams took the field for a final tournament and Socotra welcomed players, families and supporters for food, drinks and an evening of community. Colliers emerged as the 2026 league champion.

The 2026 season benefited the Carson Campbell Foundation, which honors the life and legacy of Carson Campbell, a former Socotra Capital employee.

“On behalf of my family, we are grateful for the on-going support the local commercial real estate community has shown the Carson Campbell Foundation. Their partnership and generosity and support have helped turn Carson’s legacy into a lasting source of positive impact for others.” said Chris Campbell, Carson’s father.

Commercial Broker Softball has brought members of Sacramento’s commercial real estate community together for more than two decades. The league also holds a meaningful place in Socotra Capital’s history: Socotra founders Adham Sbeih and John Ingoglia first connected through Broker Softball before founding the company in 2007.

Socotra continued participating in the league after its founding and, over time, took on responsibility for organizing the event and coordinating its charitable fundraising. Today, Socotra hosts and organizes the league and matches charitable contributions dollar for dollar.

“We are happy to support the local real estate community through broker softball for more than twenty years, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities. In a world increasingly conducted through email and text, broker softball gives us a valuable opportunity to reconnect and have some fun!” said Adham Sbeih, co-founder of Socotra Capital.

This year, the league grew from its previous high of six teams to a record eight. Keith Torres, a member of the construction team at Herzer Financial, led team and sponsor recruitment for the season and helped introduce additional construction, banking and real estate professionals to the league.

“I’m personally excited to help keep the Commercial Broker Softball League going after more than 20 years. This year, we expanded from six teams to eight and raised more for charity than ever before. It has been rewarding to see the league continue to grow, new relationships form and business opportunities develop across the commercial real estate and construction communities.” said Keith Torres.

The eight participating teams represented Ethan Conrad Properties, which fielded Team Blue and Team Yellow; New Mac, a combined Newmark and MacLaughlin & Company team; Socotra Capital; CBRE; Seegert Construction; Sierra View; and Colliers.

Five companies sponsored weekly beer and barbecue gatherings throughout the season: Basin Street Properties, Banner Bank, Ethan Conrad Properties, Properties Unlimited Real Estate and Seegert Construction. Socotra Capital sponsored Championship Night in addition to hosting and organizing the league and providing the dollar-for-dollar charitable match.

The Carson Campbell Foundation accepts contributions through the Sacramento Region Community Foundation. Additional contributions can be made through the Carson Campbell Foundation donation page.
